For complex issues, particularly on issues related to Interior Lighting, a lighting design and simulation is very helpful. The ray data of various light sources, especially LEDs, are stored in a library and serve as basis for most simulations. Using the ray tracing software LucidShape optical paths can be simulated and optimized, for example in fiber optics. Afterwards the result is visualized and valued as graphic. Likewise, different reflector geometries can be calculated, simulated and optimized.
Our light laboratory is equipped with a luminance camera, a goniometer, an integrating sphere as well as other measuring devices and power supplies. Results of the lighting calculations of prototypes can be measured and logged herewith.
